Why Panama City, Panama?

August 3, 2011 in Treatment

Many of you that have been following this fundraising opportunity from the beginning are probably wondering what happened to Germany and the treatment there? About three months ago, the X-cell Center in Germany was closed down by the German Government because of some “legal loopholes” according to news sources and their Facebook page. They have not come out with an official statement saying what went wrong, and they probably will not, but the unfortunate fact is that they did shut down and will no longer perform these types of treatments. They have officially filed for insolvency with the government and will not be back up and running. Many thousands of individuals that went to the X-cell Center in Germany improved their quality of life and it’s a shame that this has happened to such a wonderful organization.

Upon learning about this, Jarom and his wife pursued different options and came across the Stem Cell Institute. You can learn more about it at http://www.cellmedicine.com. The treatment is basically the same; however, it is much more invasive at Panama City then it would have been in Germany. He will undergo 16 different stem cell injections along with 19 days of physical therapy. The success rates are just as tremendous, or even better, than at the Germany facility. They are affiliated with many United States colleges such as the University of California and the University of San Diego.

A lot of thought went into choosing a new treatment center in which Jarom and his family believe will be just as beneficial and perhaps more than his first dreams in Germany. He is very excited about the possibilities and will keep everyone posted on the Hope of the Change blog on his progress along with some pictures of his therapy, facility, and people he will meet.

Thank you for your love and support!

Official stem cell appointment is scheduled

July 21, 2011 in Treatment

Due to recent events and legality issues in Germany, Jarom has decided to pursue his stem cell treatment in Panama City, Panama. He has been approved and has an official appointment date on October 3, 2011. While he is there, you will undergo 16 stem cell injections, physical therapy, and probably some nasty stuff to drink! Thank you everyone for your support, friendship, and love. His dream of being able to walk again is around the corner because of your efforts, the remarkable town of Cedar City, and all those that have contributed in some way!

If you still wish to donate, you may do so by clicking the Donate link on this website or go to your local Mountain America Credit Union and donate to Hope for the Change.

For more information on his treatment, please visit www.cellmedicine.com.
