I would like to know what happened concening his treatment. Why he can not go to Germany? Seams odd that he was excepted and then they change there mind or rules. Why he is going to Panama now. Are there any clinics in the US doing this? I am sure many people would like to know what happened. There are so many people with this type of injury, I am sure they are watching this closely. Wish him luck. JL
Thank you JL for your interest and enthusiasm regarding Jarom’s treatment. About three months ago, the X-cell Center in Germany was closed down by the German Government because of some “legal loopholes” according to news sources and their Facebook page. They have not come out with an official statement saying what went wrong, and they probably will not, but the unfortunate fact is that they did shut down and will no longer perform these types of treatments.
Upon learning about this, Jarom pursued different options and came across the Stem Cell Institute. You can learn more about it at http://www.cellmedicine.com. The treatment is basically the same; however, it is much more invasive at Panama City then it would have been in Germany. He will undergo 16 different stem cell injections along with 19 days of physical therapy. He is very excited about the possibilities and will keep everyone posted on the Hope of the Change blog on his progress along with some pictures of his therapy, facility, and people he will meet.
Sorry if this does not clarify things as much as you would like. The matter-of-fact is, there are still opportunities for those wishing to have stem cell treatment. Thank you for your support!
